I made a structure of circulating sound with a portable cassette recorder and two portable cassette players. The cassette recorder and the cassette players are interconnected with a magnetic tape and they run constantly. The cassette recorder always writes down its current surrounding sounds and simultaneously erases the sounds which were recorded in the past. In other words, the recorded sounds from the cassette recorder are read by two cassette players and replaced with newly generated sounds continuously. In conclusion, the sounds from the structure demonstrate that generation, combination and extinction are repeated in an endless process.
