Monument for Space Speaker Systems in Their Boxes, Microphones, Cardboard Boxes
Audio Cables, MDF Dimensions Variable 2012
Monument for Space is a sound installation which presents real-time sounds from different spaces simultaneously in one place. Three speaker systems in their original packaging are connected respectively with three microphones in varying spaces. Each microphone in a cardboard box sends a different spatial sound to its corresponding speaker system in real time. Additionally, acoustic feedback occurs every time a door opens between where a microphone is installed and where its connected speaker system is placed.
