Momm, 2007, Interactive Video Sculpture, Touchscreen Monitor, Computer, Speaker
Archival Pigment Print, Acrylic, 86 × 52 × 55 cm
Momm is an interactive video sculpture that presents both the illusion of a body created with 3D software and its underlying digital structure. When a viewer touches any part of the breathing belly, a bell-like sound rings out, the touched area briefly dips inward, and a bluish bruise appears. When the viewer touches the navel, however, the digital illusion of the body vanishes, revealing the wireframe skeleton of the 3D model.
